Steeplechase

On Saturday, Kristi, Sarah and I donned our best sundresses and hats and headed toward Nashville's version of the Kentucky Derby, Steeplechase. Some friends of ours had some tailgaiting spots in the infield so we joined them there. I only saw one small part of a race and this was purely by accident. I had left the infield in search of a lavatory and alas when I came back they had shut the gate so the race could go through. So I saw about 10 horses race by, twice, and then I got to go back to my tailgaiting spot. I also bet $3 on a horse named Scuba Steve and lost. Other than that, the rest of the day was filled with good drinks and good food. I highly recommend this event to everyone!

This is us with LuLu from 102.5 Venus FM. She's the nice lady who lets me and Sarah go on the radio with her from time to time. We love her!

It was the end of the day, and I'd had a drink or five....so I'm not really sure what posessed me to take a pic like this....but I think it's funny....
